Meet the Author: Lane Stone
Lane Stone, a proud baby boomer and dog mom, is originally from Atlanta, Georgia. After over thirty years in the DC area, she now resides in Alexandria, Virginia, and Lewes, Delaware, with her husband, Larry Korb, and their Standard Schnauzers, Cordy and Emma. Lane writes engaging book club thrillers that reflect her vibrant life and experiences.
Cozy Mysteries and Art Thrillers
Lane’s literary journey began with the “Tiara Investigation Mysteries,” evolving into several cozy series. Her art thriller trilogy, “The Big Picture,” launched with The Collector in May 2022. The Canvas followed in 2023, and Dead Men Don’t Decorate was published in November 2022 under the pen name Cordy Abbott.
Commitment to Service
Lane Stone’s dedication extends beyond her writing. As the Virginia state president of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) and the immediate past co-president of AAUW-Alexandria, she has significantly contributed to their human trafficking rescue program. A portion of the proceeds from Dead Men Don’t Decorate supports this important initiative. Lane also serves on the Board of Directors of the Delaware River & Bay Lighthouse Foundation, further demonstrating her commitment to meaningful causes.
Achievements
Lane is a proud graduate of Georgia State University, where she also contributes to the university’s political science department advisory board. She holds a post-graduate certificate in Antiquities Theft and Art Crime. Represented by Birch Literary, Lane is an active member of Sisters in Crime (SinC), Writers of America (MWA), and International Thriller Writers (ITW).
